Black Sheep Comedy @ Amsterdam Brewery, April: Meet the Comics

Black Sheep Comedy is back at Amsterdam Brewery with another killer lineup! We have the insanely talented Ted Morris headlining with special guests Zabrina Douglas, Jordan Trafford and Jason Dogleash!

Meet the comedians, below, and don’t forget to grab your tickets for a night filled with pro comedy and delicious beer (one 12oz beer or pop with ticket).

Ted Morris

Born in Ottawa and now making his home in Toronto, Ted Morris is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer…and small animal veterinarian? He’s clearly going for a very specific niche.

As a stand-up comic he’s been called “fresh faced and hilarious” and “a real gem” by NOW Magazine. He has performed at the “We’re Funny That Way” , Halifax, Winnipeg, Glasgow and Sudbury Comedy Festivals, is a rostered comic for the Yuk Yuk’s chain of comedy clubs and a sought after corporate comedian. In 2016 he made his debut at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal where he filmed a set for Kevin Hart’s LOL Network.

His TV appearances include an hour long “Comedy Now!” stand-up special airing on The Comedy Network and MTV Canada, The Toronto Show, The Comedy Network’s “Canadian Comedy Shorts” and “Punched Up”, MuchMoreMusic’s “Heat Meter”, CBC’s Winnipeg Comedy and Halifax Comedy Festivals and Out TV’s “PopPorn”. His latest appearance at the Halifax fest now has over 2 million online views.

Ted can be heard around the world on Sirius XM Radio and in Canada is undefeated on CBC Radio’s “The Debaters”. He was featured in the short film “Parent Teacher” which was an Official Selection of the LA Comedy Film Festival.

2019 saw the release of his long-awaited debut comedy album “Dawn of the Ted”, an appearance on season 14 of “America’s Got Talent”, his 5th appearance at the Halifax Comedy Festival, a Gala taping at JFL Montreal and a Canadian Comedy Award nomination for Best Stand-up Comic.

2020 saw him staying home. He’s too smart to make plans for 2021. When Ted isn’t performing, he works as a small animal veterinarian, has a nationally syndicated veterinary advice column on CBC Radio 1, and is featured regularly on Global TV’s Morning Show dispensing advice about your weird pets.

Zabrina Douglas

Zabrina Douglas- her comedy has been featured in the cream of comedy that aired on The Comedy Network, CBC and Teletoons. After Zabrina was Nominated for The Tim Sims Award in 2008 she has been apart of major festivals, JFL42, SLO comedy fest, Women In Comedy Boston fest, SHEDOT fest and the Soulo theatre festival. she has been travelling between Canada and the U.S. performing Comedy at various Clubs and Private shows

Jason Dogleash

Jason DogLeash (Guelph Comedy Festival, Hillside, LV420) started his comedy career performing improv with The Making-Box out of Guelph ON, and brings that zany spirit with him onstage. As a substitute-teaching single-father, Jason has plenty of life experience to draw from, and an abundance of hilarious tales to tell. Come and laugh with the giant man-child!

Jordan Trafford

Jordan Trafford is a construction worker by day and a queer identifying comedian by night (and also all the time…) his constantly evolving and developing style can best be described as developing and constantly evolving. After his initiation to stand up comedy at The Second City, Toronto, Jordan now proudly embarrasses himself in more than just one location. He has performed, bombed, and told he was okay on stages across the GTA, including Yuk Yuk’s, as part of Your Hood’s a Joke.
