Line Up:
Melanie Dahling
Melanie Dahling, a recent transplant from Winnipeg, has been taking Toronto by storm with her combination of writing skills and fabulously unfabulous stage persona. You may have seen Melanie in Winnipeg Comedy Fest, SheDot Fest and ALTdot Comedy Lounge at the Rivoli.
Mike Payne
Mike Payne is a fast rising comic, born and bred in Toronto. Mike’s style has been described as “a modern take on family dynamics” or simply as “fat and loud”. Mike produces several local stand-up comedy shows including Comedy Appetizer, The Feast, Quiplash and is an active member of the Jokelab Comedy collective. Mike has appeared in The Brantford Comedy Festival and at many local and regional shows at venues including Comedy Bar, Yuk Yuks and Absolute Comedy and has opened for prominent comedians including Martha Chaves, Arthur Simeon, Sandra Battaglini and more.
Nikki Yee
Nikki Yee is a filmmaker, writer, producer, and stand-up comedian. She has worked on such films as Maps to the Stars, The Journey is the Destination, and Our House. She also serves as an associate producer on Ice Road Truckers. By night, she is a stand-up comedian who has been featured in shows such as Story With Chong, Comedy For Dummies, and Comedy Mixtape. In her spare time, Nikki Yee enjoys playing her ukulele, singing show tunes, and practicing the Israeli self-defense system, Krav Maga, so not only can she make you laugh, but she can and will kill you. She may look like she’s still in middle school, but she’s pure f🔥🔥🔥ing fire.
Marissa Cristiano
Marissa Cristiano is a recent graduate of the Second City Stand-Up program, where she learned how to unleash her inner George Costanza. She likes telling stories about eating, dating and body hair. Sometimes she’s mean, and always TMI, but she’s going to say it anyway. When she’s not here, she’s figuring out how to keep plants alive and wondering why you can’t download food from the internet yet.
Moiz Divan
Moiz Divan is a very amateur comic with a style that’s been described as impish. He’s currently killing it in the Second City Stand-Up program, and recently surprised friends and family when he didn’t f**k up his debut performance at Comedy Bar. When Moiz isn’t grinding it out on stage, you might find him humblebragging about how he made it to the gym last night.
Come see this amazing line up at Social Capital on November 8th at 8pm! Tickets available on our events page.
