TESTING: ATTENTION PLEASE! Black Sheep Comedy is back on with our first friendly competition at 120 Diner in 2020! Join us at 9pm on Thursday January 9th at 120 Diner to watch fresh new faces and experienced comedians compete for a HUGE(ly underwhelming) cash prize and a surprise prize that may be awesome or kinda stupid. So, come out to vote for your favourite and cap the evening off with your headliner, the incomparable Al Val!
Al Val

Al Val is a comedian, actor, writer and musician based out of Toronto. Starting his comedy career at the young age of 18, Al has since contributed his talents to program both local and national, from London Rogers TV to OutTV, MTV, and YTV. Al has built a respectable following through his unique brand of standup comedy and currently can be seen headlining shows all across North America; however, besides that he is no stranger to the improv and sketch scene, having performed with improv troupe “Starwipe” for 8 years and having graduated from Second City’s Conservative Program. Al is also the co-writer/producer/lead in the webseries “My Roommate and Friend” and can be seen as one half of the improv rock n’ roll duo “OverDude”. Between an always evolving, unique brand of comedy and large breadth of talent, Al Val’s stock as a breakthrough entertainer is surely on the rise, to say the least.
Lesley MC

Lesley Mc is a small-town girl, turned big city slicker. Her comedy focuses on growing up blue collar and trying to shed that lifestyle. Don’t be fooled by her big smile and airy presence – her comedy is on the darker side. Lesley has done shows all over Toronto, including at the Underground, Comedy Bar, and Second City. You can find her on instagram as @diggyfibbs and on Facebook as Lesley Mc.
Allie Banks

Allie Banks has been in the comedy game for just under two years and has already earned the title of BadAllie on stage. Running several successful shows throughout the GTA, but specializing in heckler rooms – she is not someone to mess with. Although she encourages you to try.
Nick Eakins

Nick Eakins (e-kins) is a current Second City stand-up student with a knack for dark comedy and one-liners. Even when Nick’s not on stage, he’s probably close to a comedy club or at a Starbucks brainstorming his next punch line – and yes, he actually likes their coffee.
Follow @nickeakins on Instagram – he promises to post more in 2020.
Arjun Khanna
Arjun Khanna is a happy-go-lucky Punjabi who loves doing stand-up comedy. He is a fan and former student of the veteran comedian, Jim McAleese. In his spare time, Arjun likes to enjoy doing absolutely nothing.

Rebecca Kazdan

Rebecca Kazdan was once told by the boy she liked in High School that she was “funny looking” and is now ready to see if the rest of the world would agree. She is a recent Second City grad and current matching pyjama set enthusiast. While not on stage you can find Rebecca lying to her kindergarten students about how much she likes their latest finger painted masterpiece.
Fadi Nasser

Fadi Nassar is a stand-up comic who was born in Amman Jordan, raised in Detroit Michigan, and has spent the past 16 years in Toronto. Fadi’s first performance was on Yuk Yuk’s stage for ProAm night, and he’s been tackling stages – including Absolute, Comedy Bar and Comedy Kapow at 120 Diner – across the GTA ever since. Fadi Has a unique take on Canada and the diverse cultures within it. His perspective on life is sure to bring you laughter and joy!
Mathew Flemming

Matthew Fleming is a fresh face in the Toronto Stand Up scene. Along with his unique style he brings his great beard and bad advice. When Matthew is not on stage you can find him crafting the perfect grand slam at Denny’s or making beats for your favorite soundcloud rapper.
Fahim Haider

Fahim Haider is a talented, up and coming comic new to the Toronto stand-up scene. When he’s not on stage, he’s a graphic designer/illustrator living life trying to find the balance between youthful exuberance and geriatric curmudgeonry.
You can follow him on Instagram @fahim.was.here
Krzysztof Motyka

Krzystof Motyka moved to Toronto from Poland in 1994 at the age of 18. It wasn’t until 15 years later that he was hit with the desire to try stand-up. And then he thought about it for another 10 years before actually trying it! After writing more than 500 pages of funny stuff, he nailed a couple of spots and hasn’t looked back.
Krzystof ’s credits include an episode of William Shatners’s Weird or What and World’s Most Dangerous Jobs. Both can be found on YouTube.
Liam Doherty

Liam is an accomplished actor, stand-up comic and MC. He studied improv at Second City and has appeared on a number of venues. Most notably Yuk Yuk’s and Elivira Kurt’s Adventures in Comedy. After a break of a few years he has decided to make a return to the stand-up world.
Daniel Ranji Sanker
