Black Sheep Comedy is thrilled to be returning to Whitby’s best craft brewery, Town Brewery! We’re celebrating with one of our fave headliners, the ridiculously talented AL VAL! And she’s accompanied by a fabulous lineup, including Jen Sakato, Jeremy Dobski and Black Sheep Comedy newcomer Jordan Hoath! Meet them below, and don’t forget to get your tickets right away because seating is very limited. Plus, all ticket holders receive their choice of a complimentary 12oz beer or pop.
Al Val

Despite the pandemic, Al Val has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the Canadian comedy scene. In the three short years since Al came out as trans she has made appearances at Just For Laughs, JFL NorthWest, Off-JFL/Zoofest, and has taped stand-up sets for CBC Gem (“New Wave of Standup”) and Crave TV (“The Stand-Up Show with Jon Dore”). A skilled improvisor, Al has taught both children and adults in the art of improvisation, host’s her own weekly solo stream-of-consciousness podcast “PodGis”, is graduate of Second City’s Conservatory Program, and one part of improv-rock musical duo “OverDude”, there’s no wonder this effervescent, multitalented whirlwind was voted by her peers as 2020’s “Breakout Comic of the Year” (in the ‘male’ category, no less – really stickin’ it to the fellas!).
Between her boundlessly high energy, vulnerable, clever, insightful perspective, and spontaneous, silly delivery, Al Val is surely a dynamic, exciting entertainer whose charm you will surely be unable to resist!
Jen Sakato

Jen Sakato is an up-and-coming comic from Toronto. She regularly performs at Absolute Comedy, the Corner Comedy Club and has performed across Canada, at the San Diego Comedy Festival and JFL42. Her commentary on being mixed race, dating and modern life makes her an easy crowd favorite.
Jeremy Dobski

Jeremy Dobski is a Toronto based stand up comedian, originally rooted in Montreal. He works clubs and festivals North America wide. He was twice voted as one of Montreal’s Top 10 Comedians in CULT MTL magazine. He is one host of The Flicks With Dicks Podcast, and has toured across North America working clubs and festivals with many notable comics. He’s been on Vice, Discovery, CBC and a Mothers Against Drunk Driving PSA, and was even seen on flaming horse once! His dark sardonicism is equalled by his absurd silliness. He is a big stupid idiot who knows big words.
Jordan Hoath

Happy little man telling long sad stories
