Meet the comedians:
Headliner AVA VAL
Ava Val is an award-winning stand up comedian, actor and musician based out of Toronto.
Credits include multiple appearances at Just For Laughs, Just For Laughs Toronto, and Just For Laughs Vancouver. She’s performed at Halifax Comedy festival, The Arctic Comedy Festival, Toronto Fringe; tapings on Crave TV, CTV, and CBC. Her standup special “So Brave” is currently available to stream on YouTube, where new episodes of her podcast “PodGis” are also available every Tuesday.
Jeremy Dobski
Jeremy Dobski is a comedy force known for his high-energy sets, raw honesty, and sharp, absurd insights that leave audiences laughing and reflecting in equal measure. Twice named one of Montreal’s Top 10 comedians by CULT MTL and a regular headliner at Toronto’s best clubs, he’s appeared on CBC, Vice, Discovery, and performed at major festivals across North America. He’s worked with well known acts such as Howie Mandel, Sam Tallent, and more. Whether tackling the everyday weirdness of being human or the simplicity of everyday activities Jeremy brings a rare mix of vulnerability, wit, and fearless storytelling to the stage.
Shibi Shetti
Shibi Shetty is a stand up comedian who moved from India to Canada to be closer to home. He likes making fun of the immigrant experience and being a fish out of water, drawing unique observations and stories about his time here and back home. Audiences watch him and go, “how do all these weird things happen to this one guy” and between us, the answer is, he is on the constant look out for them. It’s all his fault.
Shibi has performed in India, Europe, Japan and across the GTA at comedy clubs and corporate shows alike. He is also one of the co-writers of Vir Das presents News From the Rest of the World which premiered on CONAN TBS.
Samantha Ling
Samantha Ling is a Toronto-based comedian and actor with a background in theatre, film and improv. Outside of performing, Samantha enjoys long-distance running, volleyball, martial arts, and reading cultural criticism.
