Angela Mairano-Thurston

Angela Maiorano-Thurston has performed all over North America except for Mexico, sticky passport situation. She is currently contributing comedic voiceovers for an animated series “D.N.Ace” still being animated. She’s appeared on several annoying commercials. And some made for TV movies. You might catch Angela on a Netflix movie called “Polar” don’t blink because her performance is 2.5 seconds long. Angela is also known as “Halvsie Harriet” in the popular Nickolodeon kids show “Odd Squad”.

AJ Bate

AJ Bate is a comic from Hamilton that’s performed all over Southern Ontario, he was a finalist on go yuk yourself 2016.

Peter Fraser

To call Peter Fraser a “rising star of comedy” would only display your complete ignorance as to how stars move through the galaxy. He is a mutant who has only just discovered his powers and whether he ends up good or evil will be determined by who discovers him first. He has performed at The Brantford Comedy Festival, Laugh Sabbath, Yuk Yuk’s, The Actually Really Good Stand-Up Comedy Show, Ossington Comedy, Bottomless Pit, and is a Champion of the Clash of the Comics Roast Battle, as well as a graduate of Second City.

Sarah Ashby

What do you get when you put Regina George’s mean spirit into Garth from Wayne’s World’s body? Why you get Sarah Ashby! This 4 time Roast Battle Champion has been performing all around Southern Ontario and has appeared in multiple festivals including the Brantford Comedy Festival, the 420 Comedy Festival and the United Comedy Festival. She is also the cohost and coproducer of Comedy Mixtape, a musical comedy show that runs at Comedy Bar and Shweed, a comedy weed collective. Edworld Kim

Edworld Kim has been doing stand-up comedy to bring happiness to people and to make them stick together. His jokes are universal, multi-cultural, and works regardless of ethnicity. He never stops moving, and his audiences always expect huge amounts of fun, inventiveness and freshness from him. He never stops cracking jokes regardless of where he is, as long as it can make someone feel funny and happy. He has been studying in Humber Comedy Program since 2017.

Jennifer Hsiung

Jennifer Hsiung has a last name that no one can pronounce correctly. She loves scones, vanilla ice cream, Game and Thrones, and her kids (perhaps in that order). The mother of three was an international television anchor for China Central Television in Beijing for 10 years (where she covered two Olympic Games, a G20 Summit, and interviewed a bunch of famous people), and has just relocated back to her hometown of Toronto last September. She started pursuing stand-up comedy in China after baby number two came out, and made her Comedy Central debut in season three of “Stand-Up Asia!” last summer where she was featured in the first episode with Canadian comedian Sugar Sammy. She has hosted and opened for international headliners such as Ahmed Ahmed, Tony Woods, Kate Willett, Mike Ward, Mike Vechionne and Nazeem Hussein.

Two months after giving birth to her third son (yep, the babies just kept coming) she competed in the 2017 Hong Kong International Comedy Competition and was the only female to reach the finals. Jennifer has been delighting and disgusting audiences throughout Asia, and now North America, with her various impersonations, classy vagina jokes, and observations about motherhood, childhood, racism, astrology, physics, pop culture, English cucumbers and everything in between.
