Are you furious/terrified/heartbroken over the complete lack of regard for women’s health and autonomy that’s happening right now across several US states?
Are you into saving the world from itself so we don’t turn into one giant dumpster fire and all?
Are you going to be in Toronto on July 31st and August 1st?
Then get your tickets for Not On Our Watch, an insanely important fundraiser, produced and hosted by Lauren Walsh-Greene! Black Sheep Comedy will be there and providing a cool prize pack or two. One of the two women who run Black Sheep may even be telling some jokes at her mom’s expense (spoiler alert, it’s Darcia Armstrong).
Here’s some more info, as per the press release:
Not On Our Watch
Not on Our Watch is a two-evening storytelling show that will raise important funds to benefit women whose reproductive rights have been limited or in many cases, taken away, in the United States. As several American states are backsliding into a bleak past in which women are denied access to basic reproductive healthcare including abortions and birth control coverage from employers, this group of storytellers decided to lend their voices to the cause.
The show will feature true stories about women’s reproductive rights and female empowerment. One hundred per cent of the profits made from the show will be donated to Planned Parenthood and the National Network of Abortion Funds in the United States.Join us to speak to performers and audience members as we work together to help our neighbours in the south.
When: July 31st and August 1st, 2019 from 6:30pm to 8pm. Doors open at 6pm.
Where: The Burdock Music Hall, 1184 Bloor Street West, Toronto, Ontario
