Meet Your TAP Comics!

Black Sheep Comedy is proud to bring a killer headliner and whole new lineup 120 Diner for a brand-new edition of TESTING: ATTENTION PLEASE!

The comedian crowned Audience Favourite will win a HUGE(ly underwhelming) cash prize and a surprise gift, which is sometimes awesome and sometimes just, like, really bad. So, come check out Toronto’s newest super fresh faces of comedy as well as experienced comics, and finish the evening laughing your ass off with our headliner Joel Buxton!

Joel Buxton

Joel Buxton was a two-time finalist in the Toronto Comedy Brawl, and has performed at festivals such as JFL42, Field Trip Music Festival, and NXNE. He produces a show called Don’t Break the Chain at Comedy Bar. Joel has released two sketch albums that are available on iTunes, the most recent called Bucky and Friends: Scoop into Cobra.

Joel is also a prolific writer, and has provided comedy writing for This Hour Has 22 Minutes, CBC Comedy, The Beaverton and the radio show Because News. He also writes for children’s animation including Inspector Gadget and upcoming series Cupcake and Dinosaur.

Caroline Concordia

Caroline Concordia is a foxy new comedian proudly from Hamilton. She is a recent Second City stand up program grad, and can also be seen on several crime re-enactment television programs. Caroline loves to write, perform and eat free food.

Cassandra Potenza

Cassandra Potenza is a brand spanking new stand up comic who originally hails from the exotic Winnipeg, Manitoba. She’s a recent graduate of the Level 1 stand up course at The Second City where she learned lots of things. When she’s not onstage she spends her time trying to write bios.

Andrew Clare

Andrew Clare took a Second City stand up course a few months ago and is now pretty much redefining comedy as we know it. He’s also a renewable energy consultant and cheese connoisseur. He’s absolutely never pasted his face on a picture of a dog’s body. Just want to make that clear.

Bougie B Bougé

Bougie is a new up and coming Toronto comic. Born and raised in Toronto. In 2017 she finally decided to pursue her dream of stand up comedy and check another thing off her bucket list. Bougie has been doing stand up for almost 2 years. She’s been featured on Comedy Kapow, Up and Comers and is A New Faces All Star. She was nominated for 3 P.E.A.B.O. awards in her first year including Comedian of the Year.

Currently working on launching her new podcast Getting Boozy With Bougie, where she gets drunk with strangers and asked them weird and inappropriate questions. She has been dubbed the horniest woman in comedy and will most likely hit on you.

Claude B

Claude is just a typical eternal student, one who deals with student debt by simply incurring more of it. For a small girl, she’s living large in every way – the nightlife, her seven-foot boyfriend, the giant teeth. Her bite marks are now police record. She would also like to remind everyone that its not called alcoholism if you’re still a student, it’s called tuition fees.

James JamEasy Cummins

James JamEasy Cummins born and raised in Brampton has become one of the fastest up and coming names in standup comedy. Tip toeing the line of things you’re not supposed to say combined with a unique delivery has made him memorable to audiences one way or another. In less than 2 years he has performed all over Ontario, Montreal and Dublin Ireland, he was a finalist in go yuk yourself 2018 and has become a regular on stage at The Corner Comedy Club. You can find JamEasy hosting Nacho Mommas Comedy every week in Brampton, Bombtons Top Comic Monthly contest and listen to beaks get wet and feathers get ruffled every week on The Wet Beak podcast. Follow him on all social media @jam_easy #jameasydoesit

Kevin Z

Kevin Z is a stand-up comic from Toronto. He is best known for his laid back conversational style and observational humour. You can find him performing in bars and clubs all around Toronto. Currently Kevin is unemployed and is looking for a job in the tech industry.

Hanmin Yang

Hanmin Yang is a new stand-up comic from Toronto and a graduate of The Second City’s Longform Improvisation Conservatory program.  Drawing from his own life, he explores issues of race, relationships and sex, and you can see him in a few episodes of “Whose Lines Is It Anyway” when he was picked to sit behind the host Aisha Tyler.  He is new at this and trying really very hard.

Arriane Tong

Arianne Tong is a queer culture writer for YOHOMO, and host of Group Therapy Podcast, Girl Gang Cabarets and Question Everything Trivia. In 5 years she sees herself running for public office and/or having a Costco membership.

Danielle LeBlanc

Danielle LeBlanc is a new comic from Clare, Nova Scotia. She’s been doing shows in Toronto as well as in her home province, and her style is definitely self-deprecating as well as physical (her “floor work” may be her best work). Danielle is French Acadian and first cut her teeth into comedy writing at The Second City Training Centre. When Danielle is not doing stand up, oddly enough you can find her touring across Canada dressed up as a cowgirl and singing for kids in her musical kids show, Little Buckaroos- she likes to perform for ALL the age groups. Find Danielle on Instagram at @danielleannie.

Ario Shakiba

Ario Shakiba trained with Second City and Bad dog theater. You may have seen him performing at Wonderland all of last summer. Has a leather chaise lounge for sale.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 (cash only) at the door. We highly recommend booking a table for the evening.
